There is a large public parking lot, and all beach-goers need to purchase entry to the Indiana Dunes National Park (see Fees & Passes - Indiana Dunes National Park (U.S. National Park Service) (nps.gov) for details and to pay your entrance fee or better yet, to secure your annual pass!). We set up near to where you climb down the sand from the parking lot to get to the water’s edge and are easy to find.

By practicing together and sharing time on our mats and with our breath, we join a global community (sangha) of yogis.

Our vinyasa flow classes link breath to movement, incorporate simple meditation and pranayama (breathwork) practices, and end with savasana (resting) pose in the no wake zone for full body relaxation. Our warm, friendly and fun community of yogis is the place to refuel this fall!
This all levels class is appropriate for new and more seasoned yoga students alike, and pose variations and props are offered in every class to support you and your yoga practice.
Yoga classes take place at Marina Shores Yacht Club (MSYC) at 5987 S. Dune Harbor Drive, Portage, Indiana in the Starboard Wine Bar on the 2nd floor. MSYC is open to the public all year long and has a large and free public parking lot in front of the building on Highway 12. After class, linger with your Sandy Pause Yoga crew of new and old friends in the MSYC Waterfront Restaurant which boasts a large and diverse menu of food and drinks for purchase.
Pre-registration is requested for students who live outside of Marina Shores by 5:00 p.m. the day of class. If you are a resident of Marina Shores, you can register by emailing sandypauseyoga@gmail.com or simply show up at the yacht club for class each week.
Class Registration: Students who live in Marina Shores may make a cash or venmo (@sandypauseyoga) donation of any amount when they arrive for class each week. Students who live outside of Marina Shores can register by clicking one of the links below to pay for class. If you have a Sandy Pause Yoga package, you can simply email sandypauseyoga@gmail.com to register with your first and last name.
Cost/Payment: Individual classes are $18 or $14.50 for Dunies members, and payment can be sent via Venmo to @SandyPauseYoga or register via PayPal at the links below. Acknowledgment of Risk form: All students are required to sign the Acknowledgment of Risk form in order to participate in class.
What you’ll need: Please bring a yoga or exercise mat and any special props you might like to have for class as well as a sweatshirt or light coverup for our resting pose at the end of class. Yoga blocks and straps will be available for you to use at class each week.
